DIY : COLORFUL CANVAS SHOES

Things you will need :

White Canvas shoes
Acrylic paints
White Acrylic paint - (To be used as Primer)
Paint Brushes
An old rag/cloth
Newspaper
Water
Pencils
Transparent Varnish/Clear Polish

Step 1 :

Paint the entire shoe with white acrylic paint and let it dry. ( White acrylic paint acts like a primer and doesn't allow the color to get absorbed into the material)

Step 2 :

After the shoe dries. Draw your design onto your shoe with a pencil and decide which colors you will be using so as to make your shoe stand out.

Step 3:

Start filling your colors in the design made.

Step 4:

Once you're done painting the entire shoe, let it dry for a few hours. (I used a blow dryer :p)

Step 5:

The final step is to seal the entire design and the colors on the shoe. I used Clear nail polish. You can use transparent wood varnish or any other polish available. Once you polish your shoes..let them dry and Viola! You have your very own custom made canvas shoes to flaunt.
Shoe customization is a fun activity, put in your own ideas and experiment. Enjoy!

Shopping experience with Jabong.com

Need to pamper yourself but no time to shop or step out of the house!? That's when online shopping comes to your rescue. As a student and a freelancer it gets really difficult for me to get time to de-stress. So this week I decided to take sometime out and give myself a treat. I was looking out for certain products which I couldn't find in my local market and that's when I decided to give online shopping a try! I stumbled upon Jabong.com which is pretty known in India. The website is easy to use and customer friendly. I had no trouble searching for the specific products that I needed. I was looking out for pure herbal products and was impressed with the variety that Jabong.com offers. The best part about my online shopping experience is the discount that I got on my purchase. Well who isn't happy with discounts! The online store has many payment methods & also offers COD method which is mostly preferred by shoppers... So I placed my order and within no time (2 days) I received my parcel.

The packaging is neat and simple. The products were packed in a box and covered with a plastic wrap which has your name,address & amount to be paid on it for delivery. Each product was individually bubble wrapped and sealed to avoid spilling. I was very happy with what I received. I would definitely recommend Jabong.com to all my friends and family looking out for a hassle free, effortless shopping experience. I will for sure shop from Jabong.com soon. Overall I'd rate this website a 5/5  for it has served me really well! Do shop from Jabong.com for an amazing experience with an endless variety to choose from.

 The making of such fun innovative jewelry was mainly started with the intention of bringing the love for food and fashion together, says Mei Pak who established TinyHands in 2006. Their realistic food fragrances includes that of cupcakes, waffles, pancakes, french macaroons and so much more that makes you crave for everything sweet. All the jewelry at TinyHands is Handmade and make perfect gifts for best friends and children. One of my personal favorites from the store is the "Scented Red velvet cupcake necklace". ♥ Love Home ♥

               Home- Your dwelling place, a place where your individual personality reflects in the form of colour, design & pattern. For me it has always been something that defines comfort. I grew up in Kuwait a place known for their lavish and extravagant lifestyle, so while on shopping trips to big malls that had high street garment and home decor stores with my aunt & mom, I remember us always halting at a few to check out their latest collections according to seasons. I always admired the neat work, etched prints, embellishments and their artistic arrangements. These home decor stores mostly had pieces for people with an eclectic taste. A variety to choose from!
              My frequent trips to these stores gave me more knowledge about interior decor. What I learnt was that products from high end stores like "Zara Home" are mostly fabricated so as to fit into any plain white room. Certain decorative pieces such as Candle stands, mini sculptures and vases put into niches in living rooms draws attention and focuses on one part of the room making the area look less crowded. For homes based on French and English style decor vintage "Trumeau" mirrors add an edge to the whole look of the room. Choosing the right piece and right colour or even in contrast is necessary to make your home project a success.
      Some people choose to decorate their homes based on one colour or one style. Some like to add a little bit of everything and give it a funky twist. The latest trend in home decor is "Quirky". With the young generation putting their foot and minds into the design world, home decor is no more same old boring. A pop of colour in art pieces is something which is in every season. Quirkbox.com is one of my favourite stores. I loved their idea and usage of Indian quirky fusion in their products .Also, India Circus by Krsna Mehta have  fun and stylish pieces. Easy colours and simple designs. Statement pieces is what I would call them. Another Indian decor web portal I'm currently loving is Address Home.com . Their recently launched Summer Linen collection has a wide range of cushions all with earthy tones and gorgeous gold motifs adding that sophisticating element to every piece.

Food Review : FAT CATS CAFE

Need to grab a bite? Head to Fat cats cafe, a place where you can find everything your tummy needs. From fresh home-made cakes to delicious sandwiches, fat cats has it all. It is a small hangout place perfect for all you people out there ready to sin in the name of food. The cafe is located exactly opposite Salunkhe Vihar Society in Wanowrie . Though the interiors of the cafe appear to be simple and neat with limited seating arrangement...the display counter is something that catches everyone's eye.

I visited the cafe along with a friend for a small snack and we ended up choosing the best items available on the menu. We had a piece of the Mississippi Mud pie & the Banoffee Pie both doused with fresh whipped cream made by the Cafe owner & Pastry chef Melanie Andrade herself .
 The mud pie was chocolaty and sinful. Topped with fresh cream, chocolate shavings and a bit of chocolate fudge sauce.

{  Banoffee Pie }

The Banoffee Pie tastes as delicious as it looks.

{  Crab Melt  }

{ Mac & Cheese with Bacon }

We were also suggested to try out their Crab melts and  Mac & Cheese with Bacon. The crab melt was light and had a cheesy twist. Whereas their Mac and cheese with bacon was creamy and was worth every bite.

I would thoroughly recommend Fat Cats Cafe to all
'cake-aholics' and those with a sweet tooth. They will definitely be seeing more of me, trying out their other goodies.

Must Try : Red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting
Bacon Jam
Jalapeno cheese toasties

Hey there pretties,
                          It has been a long time since I posted on the blog. Being a student is not easy. Multitasking is not every ones thing & to be honest I'm really bad at it. I need to concentrate on one thing at a time unlike some geniuses who do many things together that too perfectly.So I decided to stay away from the blogosphere/Internet for a while, not completely to concentrate on my exams and college assignments. Anyway since I'm back now without wasting any time and energy lets get going with our topic for the week, "BODY TYPE".
                         ..All of us are created differently , from Physical appearance to inner emotions...Everyone is unique. Since I'm more of a person who goes for physical appearance  today I decided to talk on body types. I know many of us women go through a lot of trouble finding dresses or clothing that suit our body type perfectly.I've been through this phase as well. The other day I received a mail from a reader who deals with plus size girl problems asking me on how I manage to get clothes of my size.That's one of the reasons why I decided to do this post. Every week I will post articles on my blog regarding body issues and how I deal with them so that you guys can learn something new about my lifestyle. I hope you guys enjoy this series of Body Talk.

Here is a fun thing to do. I have listed the different body types along with celebrity names with that body type, compare and check where you fit in.

I'm Obsessed with Denim.It is so comfortable and chic that when paired with anything it makes the outfit wearable and stylish.

This time I paired the shirt with a simple black maxi skirt and a chunky neckpiece. I opted for minimal makeup as I wanted to keep the look simple yet classy.
